Travis Van Winkle is an American movie and TV actor who was best known for his roles in the films "Accepted" (2006) and "Friday the 13th" (2009), as well as the TV show "The Last Ship" (TNT, 2014- ). Born in Victorville, California, as a young boy Van Winkle moved around a lot with his family, before finally settling in Georgia. He always dreamt of becoming an actor and after spending a couple of years in college, he decided to pack his bags and move to Hollywood. Despite being a 20-year-old newbie actor with few connections, Van Winkle quickly navigated the Hollywood acting landscape, and before long was nabbing guest spots on shows like "That's So Raven" (Disney Channel, 2003-07), "Malcolm in the Middle" (FOX, 2000-06), and "7th Heaven" (The CW/The WB, 1996-2007). In 2006 Van Winkle nabbed his first major film role in the college comedy "Accepted" (2006), and followed that role up a year later with a part in Michael Bay's "Transformers" (2007). With his acting career on the rise Van Winkle continued to appear both in films and on TV, landing parts in the horror remake "Friday the 13th" and a recurring role on "90210" (CW 2008-2013) in 2009. Van Winkle's acting career continued to rise throughout the 2010s, with appearances in the films "Last Call" (2012) and "Bloodwork" (2012), as well as a recurring role on comedy "Hart of Dixie" (The CW, 2011-15). Then in 2014 Van Winkle joined the cast of the action series "The Last Ship." He played Lt. Danny Green on the series, which premiered on TNT in the summer of 2014.
