TBS Renews ‘Wrecked’, ‘People of Earth’ and ‘The Guest Book’

Wednesday was a good day to be a TBS comedy: the cable network announced the renewal of its three summer original series.
Sophomore series Wrecked and People of Earth scored third seasons, while Greg Garcia’s freshman semi-anthology series, The Guest Book, will return for a second round. All three shows have been laughing all the way to ratings success this season, with viewership up across the board from last year.
“Since re-branding this network just two years ago, we have renewed 100 percent of our scripted originals, which have all generated impressive audience growth in an environment that’s seeing mostly declines,” TBS’s executive vice president of original programming Brett Weitz said in a statement. “Our shows are connecting with fans and we’re going to keep making these genuinely funny comedies with the best creators in this business.”
The network’s comedy brand includes standouts like Angie Tribeca, last year’s critically acclaimed hipster mystery-comedy Search Party, as well as Emmy-winning late night shows Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and Conan.
