Ugly Delicious

Momofuko founder and celebrity chef David Chang goes on a worldwide cooking tour with some of his famous friends (including talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, comedian-actress Ali Wong and chef Wolfgang Puck). He aims to prove that meals break down ethnic barriers, destroy cultural misconceptions and reveal shared experiences. Hence, there’s a lot of crazy-delicious-looking fusion cooking.

Think: M*A*S*H’s B.J. and Hawkeye, but homicidal.

Imagine how the people of Flint, Michigan, felt when they learned that government failure (and straight-up corruption) was behind the fatal poisoning of their water supply. This eight-episode docuseries follows the local cops as they patrol the city, while dealing with their own infrastructure issues, in the aftermath of the crisis.

The Looming Tower

This sobering drama (based on the Pulitzer Prize–winning book) follows the rise of Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda in the 1990s, while chronicling the battles between the FBI and CIA just before the events of September 11. When the series opens, FBI counterterrorism chief John O’Neill (Jeff Daniels) and his team are fighting to get access to information they need from the CIA. Meanwhile, the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania are being bombed.
