The Crown is trying to recover $200,000 worth of antique props stolen from set last week. Thieves took around 350 items while the Emmy-winning Netflix drama was filming in a park in Mexborough in Yorkshire, England.

The series detailed the stolen items to the Antiques Trade Gazette as part of its attempt to recover them. They include a replica of the 1897 Imperial Coronation coach egg by Fabergé, seven gold candelabra, 12 sets of silver candelabra, a clock face of a William IV grandfather clock (the case itself was not stolen), several Russian icons, a 10-piece silver dressing table set, and St. Louis gilt Crystal glassware and decanters.

South Yorkshire police are investigating the robbery. A spokesperson for Netflix said the heist will not delay filming of Season 5.

“We can confirm the antiques have been stolen and we hope that they are found and returned safely,” the spokesperson told Variety. “Replacements will be sourced, there is no expectation that filming will be held up.”

Set decorator Alison Harvey told the Antiques Trade Gazette the items are “not necessarily in the best condition and therefore of limited value for resale. However, they are valuable as pieces to the UK film industry.”

The Crown Season 5 began filming in July 2021 and is expected to debut on Netflix in November 2022. The season features an all new cast, with Harry Potter alum Imelda Staunton taking the helm as Queen Elizabeth II.

Claire Foy and Olivia Colman both won Emmy Awards for their performances as Queen Elizabeth in previous seasons. Outlander alum Tobias Menzies and Gillian Anderson won Emmys for their portrayals of Prince Philip and Margaret Thatcher in Season 4.

The Crown Season 5 cast also includes Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret. West’s son, Senan West, will play Prince William.
