When Los Angeles lawyer David Bederman won Jeopardy! on July 19 it wasn’t just his noticeable tic of tilting his head that grabbed viewers’ attention. It was also who he looked like. Many fans of the hit show pointed out that Bederman was the spitting image of Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer (post hair-loss). And they were right!

Of course, he wasn’t the first to come under the microscope from Jeopardy! viewers, who are among the most opinionated on TV, regularly seizing any opportunity to point out a contestant’s (or host’s) quirk, “annoying” oddity, unique sense of fashion, and more.

Spotting a doppelgänger is always a favorite game for fans of the show. One of the most memorable examples was Sam Buttrey, an associate professor of operations research at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, who is a dead ringer for actor and comedian Steve Martin. In fact, the similarities are so startling that Martin himself chimed in about it on Twitter.

Here, we check out more twin-credible lookalikes who have competed on the show over the years, who bring a whole new meaning to the phrase Daily Double.

The $100,000 Professors Tournament champion Buttrey closely resembles the iconic stand-up comedian, actor, and Only Murderers in the Building actor. The buzz got so loud that the comedian responded. The show then replied to the response by offering Martin involvement on the show “at any capacity” he wants.
