‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Beg Show to Bring This Element Back As it Celebrates Milestone
The Clue Crew has resurfaced! Well, for a little bit. Jeopardy!‘s Clue Crew traveled around the world to record on location video clues for the game show, and now fans want it back.
“Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Clue Crew with some of our favorite moments,” the Instagram post was captioned on September 24.
Executive producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss and stage manager Jimmy McGuire were the founding members of the Clue Crew in 2001. The Clue Crew was disbanded in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Travel had a lot of restrictions, and the game show didn’t want their crew members traveling around when they could get sick.
When that ended, they both stepped into the roles they have now. Whitcomb Foss co-executive produces with Michael Davies.
The Clue Crew had members traveling to do research for clues in different locations around the world. They would appear in categories, as many celebrities do now. Other members of the Clue Crew included Jon Cannon, Cheryl Farrell, Sofia Lidskog, and Kelly Miyahara.

The video featured McGuire and Whitcomb Foss embracing in a hug onstage. Then, memories of them around the world flashed on the screen. Much younger versions of them snowboarded, fell off surfboards, met various animals and football players, and much more.
“It’s just pure love,” McGuire said as the video flashed back to them in the present day.
The video sparked fans to beg for the Clue Crew to make a comeback. “Clue Crew should be brought back!!” a fan said.
“I agree. They add the excitement and energy to the clues, which makes it more fun,” another replied.
“Yes, I miss seeing Jimmy and Sarah doing all sorts of fun stuff!” a fan said.
“Agreed, I miss those clues!” another commented.
“I miss the Clue Crew,” a fan wrote.
“Awwwww this is adorable. We *heart emoji* the Clue Crew!” an Instagram user said.
“Love all of them. Great memories!” one last fan said.

I really enjoyed the Clue Crew and would like to see them back. Ken's clue giving is extremely fast, a bit high-pitched, and kind of monotone-ish, rendering the clues hard to follow at times (especially for older viewers). Having the Clue Crew (and/or Johnny and/or a guest celebrity) deliver the clues occasionally breaks things up and makes the presentation a bit more fun and easier to follow.
