‘Suits’ Star Dulé Hill Teases Some Law Firm Drama for Alex and Harvey

While the staff shake-ups at Suits‘ Zane Specter Litt may be over for now, that doesn’t mean it’s one big happy family.
“We’re all supposed to be on the same team,” says Dulé Hill, whose senior partner Alex Williams left a competitor to join the law firm last season. “But so many changes have gone on that we’re still figuring out what this team is.”
Now a series regular, Hill is getting the chance to also figure out who his character is… and where he fits in with old friend Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) after the exit of wingman Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams).
“There’s a lot of head-to-head,” Hill notes. “Even though Alex and Harvey know each other, they’ve not been on the same side that long.” Things get sticky this week when Alex realizes Harvey may not be able to deliver on that promise to get his name on the wall since managing partner Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) wants to promote Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl) instead.
Still, Hill thinks Alex is suited to fill Mike’s shoes. “You will see [more connection] between Harvey and Alex. Not all the time, because they have their issues…but there will be walk-and-talks!”
