Bones has killed off a number of familiar faces throughout the show’s 12 seasons, and in Tuesday night’s episode another person finds their way to Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) table.

“The Price for the Past,” which kicks off an arc that features a face from Booth’s (David Boreanaz) past returning to exact revenge, begins to get personal when a horrified Brennan realizes the remains on her table belong to Aldo (Mather Zickel)—the man who performed her wedding ceremony, and provided essential counseling to Booth when he was a sniper.
