The lawyers at Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad may take some notable fashion risks, but they do draw the line at wearing knitted pink hats with kitten ears in court.

Still, there are other ways to sartorially telegraph your support for women’s issues—and to subtly troll Donald Trump—and The Good Fight has made frequent use of one in particular: the “pussy bow” blouse.

The style came to national prominence last October when, in the wake of her husband’s Access Hollywood scandal, Melania Trump wore a pink blouse with a large floppy bow to the second presidential debate. The choice seemed either unintentionally ironic or knowingly defiant given Donald Trump’s leaked comments about grabbing women “by the pussy.”

The same can be said of the number of pussy bows in the first season of The Good Fight. In some episodes, there are so many that they might as well blow one up along with the phones and purses and crystal brandy decanters in the opening titles.

Both Racked and Teen Vogue have noticed the prevalence of pussy bows on The Good Fight. But costume designer Daniel Lawson says their use on the show isn’t an intentional dig at the president.

“They are not intentional, but their use did come at an opportune time!” Lawson says. Although, as he admitted to Racked in March, “Our show is certainly political…it’s not so wrong to think that was in the back of my mind when we were pulling it all together.”

Either way, there’s plenty of evidence to support renaming the firm “Reddick, Bows-man & Kolstad.” LOLOLOL!
