A Million Little Things left fans with quite the cliffhanger as they wait for news of a third season.

Eddie (David Giuntoli) and Katherine (Grace Park) were finally in the best place they’ve been in a long time (maybe ever?) when his past came back to haunt him. Then he was hit by a car. Meanwhile, Gary (James Roday) and Maggie (Allison Miller) fell apart, but just as she wanted to get back together, he chose someone else. (And she left for Oxford.) And Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina’s (Christina Moses) dreams of having a child were destroyed before their eyes.

Surprisingly, Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) may have ended the season in the best place, with her kids on her side and a budding new romance.

While you wait to hear about the drama’s future, scroll down to see which characters and relationships we’re the most worried about after that Season 2 finale.

David Giuntoli - A Million Little Things, Season 3 Character Questions Eddie
ABC/Sergei Bachlakov

Eddie

This one’s easy: Eddie was last seen getting hit by a car after making the right choice to not drink. Even if he survives, he’s still dealing with quite a lot: almost drinking, looking into what happened at the lake house when he was younger, his marriage, and whatever his recovery would be.

Katherine

Season 2 firmly put Katherine back into the friend group — how sweet was it to see them gift her with that office space? — and she may need them in Season 3. She’s going to need to lean on someone, whether or not Eddie survives, but from what we’ve seen from her, we know she’ll survive whatever comes her way. But might the aftermath of the accident have some sort of effect on her opening her own law firm? What we do for sure is that executive producer DJ Nash said, “Katherine and Theo’s life will never be the same” after the Season 2 finale.

Eddie and Katherine

If Eddie survives, the couple won’t just have to deal with the fallout of the accident and his recovery. He was at a bar and was going to drink before it, and he was keeping his search for answers regarding his friend’s death from her. Sadly, we don’t think they’ll be getting around to renewing their vows so soon.

Regina

Originally, Regina didn’t want kids, but as soon as she decided she did, she was excited about being a mother. And she and Rome were so close to having their dream realized, only for Eve to decide to keep the baby. She pointed out that her husband made her want that family, and she had trouble seeing her best friend Delilah with her children after losing out on having her own kid. How will she cope moving forward? Will she let anyone be there for her?

ABC/David Bukach

Regina and Rome

Will Regina pull away from Rome because, as she said, he made her want a child? How worried should we be about their relationship? Will they try to adopt again? “There’s a certain part of her that is putting a wall up against anything that hurt her or anyone that played a hand in her being hurt,” the EP said of the last scene with the couple in the finale.

A Million Little Things Season 3 Relationship Questions Gary Darcy
ABC/Bettina Strauss

Gary and Darcy

Gary called Darcy his “fresh start” in the finale, and while he chose her and instead said goodbye to Maggie at the airport, that doesn’t mean that his newest relationship will last. After all, Nash teased, “We’re setting up Gary and Maggie to have the most potential they’ve ever had to end up together.”
