‘AHS: Freak Show’s Sarah Paulson on Playing “Split” Personalities (VIDEO)
They say that two heads are better than one, but nobody knows that better than Sarah Paulson.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the American Horror Story: Freak Show DVD, part of the Fox Home Entertainment Holiday Collection, the actress highlights the challenges of playing conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler. “The greatest part about acting is listening and responding and looking at another face,” Paulson said. “For me, I was having nothing to look at… This is a sort of intimate thing, of these two people who are sharing a body.”

To really capture the heartfelt and emotional conversations between Bette and Dot, Paulson shares the techniques she used to accomplish the dual role. “My imagination was challenged in a way that it never has been,” she admits.
