Why iZombie's Major and Blaine May Not Be as Cured as You Think
“Life” goes on for undead morgue assistant Liv Moore (Rose McIver) in iZombie’s second season, but the two recipients of last season’s zombie cure—her ex-fiancé, Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley), and nemesis Blaine DeBeers (David Anders)—experience some unexpected side effects. “We start to see that people who have been cured have certain abilities,” McIver says. “We don’t even know if they’ll remain human, so it’s all very unpredictable.”

Liv is also trying to rebuild her relationship with Major after keeping him in the dark about her condition for so long. “He is incredibly, understandably devastated and frustrated with her,” says McIver, who hints the two could reconnect in the future. “There are a lot of questions that need to be answered for him, but there’s a much better chance of romance happening now that he knows the truth.”
On the work front, Liv will continue to assist Det. Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) and the Seattle PD with her “psychic” expertise. In the first three episodes of the season, she eats the brains and assumes the personalities of a grumpy old man, a zany frat boy and even a Real Housewife. “I’m doing some prep for it by chatting with a woman who was on The Real Housewives of Vancouver,” McIver says with a laugh. “It sounds like a really fascinating anthropological exploration of a world that I know nothing about!” Don’t be tardy to this party!
