‘NCIS’ Team Meets Katrina Law’s Agent Jessica Knight in Penultimate Season 18 Episode (PHOTOS)
The NCIS team isn’t going to meet someone who could be a regular presence going forward in the best of ways in the penultimate episode of Season 18. Katrina Law’s Special Agent Jessica Knight makes her debut on May 18 in “Blown Away,” and as was reported at the time of her casting, she could be around permanently next year.
But first, she has a case that’s quite personal to solve: She’s the only member of her REACT (Regional Enforcement Action Capabilities Training) team to survive an explosion. She’ll be working with Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) to crack the case using high-tech body armor.

Also at that funeral: Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who’s currently on an indefinite suspension from NCIS after beating up a man who was killing the dogs losing in his dogfighting ring.
Will Jessica have an offer to join the team — or at least continue to work with them — after this? Something is going to have to keep her around in the finale.
Speaking of that finale, Valderrama promised TV Insider that it “is going to really absolutely blow everyone out of the water…the writers did an incredible episode to pay tribute to all the questions that people had from Season 17 to 18 and then really kick off the 19th season.”

There will be no NCIS without Gibbs. I don't like many of the new characters and a few of the old. I don't like McGee as Sr Special Agent. McGee whines & pouts. A lot, like a child trying too hard to be a man. I haven't liked Ellie since she replaced Ziva. Bishop just doesn't fit. Like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. I like Torres most of the time. Ducky is moving from Chief Medical Examiner to part time official NCIS Historian? Won't work for long. As far as I'm concerned, David McCallum and Mark Harmon, as Ducky and Gibbs, are the backbone of the show. Things seemed to flow better when Palmer was Ducky's assistant. But,Gibbs is the glue that holds that show together. If he leaves, I leave. I don't like the other characters enough to hang in there without Gibbs. I don't think any of the characters can carry the show without Gibbs. Not even Tony. And, certainly not McGee, Torres or Bishop. What makes a program popular on the level of NCIS isn't just one character, but the sum of all the characters. Gibbs may be the exception to that. The original version was perfect.Then Kate died and Ziva arrived. It was even better with Ziva. Then Abby left, a major blow to the series. Ziva left,Tony left. Bishop arrived. As the show now stands, it will sink without Gibbs. The list of don't likes is far longer than the likes list. I don't like Abby's replacement; don't like Bishop.Don't care much for McGee. Duck needs to return to autopsy. And Gibbs needs to get back on deck

I think this is the best cast ever. I do miss ducky and Abby but I like casie. I NEVER liked ziva and tony was an ass. I want Gibbs to stay but I’m ok with the people who are on here now. I love bishop and everyone I know will keep watching

This show has been on a long time,longer than almost all of them and longer than most ever last.Harmon wants to move on,probably to retirement since NCIS residuals will probably support him for the rest of his life.He graciously decided to hang in there in some capacity for a last additional season after CBS told him no Gibbs no show.I believe after next season both Harmon and CBS will hold to that,that next season will be NCIS's last.Frankly I think a wrap up season and an end is the best choice here,this show would not be the same without such a commanding character.McGee is not enough of a leader for this show and my guess is any attempt at extending this show would end up in a cancellation one or two years later.It's time,there was always going to be a time and it's here,for this show to end.

I swear, I thought Meghan Markle had signed on with NCIS. Katrina Law could be a double for Meghan. Katrina is seriously beautiful. Although, I'm with other Long Time fans, too many of our favorites are gone now. I won't be watching fanatically any longer. Tonight will be my last.
