What To Know

  • Harry Jowsey and Demi Engemann are both contestants on Hulu’s The Mob.
  • The reality stars came onto the show with past drama and opened up to TV Insider about where the issues stemmed from.
  • They also shared where they stand now that filming is over.

The first two episodes of Hulu’s new competition show The Mob are streaming now, and the spotlight is already on the drama between Harry Jowsey and Demi Engemann. Jowsey explained on the show that he wanted Engemann eliminated because of his close friendships with some of her The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives nemeses.

“I was talking s**t about Demi on my podcast with a few people that weren’t too friendly to her,” Jowsey explained to TV Insider. Engemann, meanwhile, said that the beef was “more one-sided” on Jowsey’s end.

“I didn’t really have anything against [him],” she shared. “But I knew that Harry had some feelings towards me. I actually didn’t watch that [podcast] episode that he filmed until way later after I met [him], luckily, because it was pretty bad.”

Both stars survived the first whacking, and while we’ll have to wait and see how their feud plays out on the show, they confirmed that they’re in a much better place today than when filming first began.

“Immediately once we sat down, we realized we were friends,” Jowsey dished. “We love each other so much. … You’ll see it as it goes on. As we spend a lot more time with each other, we realize that we’re both just silly sausages.”

Engemann also confirmed that any issues with Jowsey were “water under the bridge,” adding, “We’ve moved on and, yeah, we love Harry.”

The Mob features reality stars and other celebs working together as a family to complete jobs and earn envelopes of money. In the premiere episode, Joe Gorga was named “The Don” of the family because he was the captain of the group that won the first challenge. The Don is an all-powerful position, as that person is the one who decides which family members receive the money envelopes earned at each job. The Don is also the one who decides who will be “whacked” (eliminated) after each job.

But The Don can be replaced by someone else in the house if enough players vote for a new Don to take over, and Jowsey is gunning for that spot. New episodes drop on Mondays.
