‘FBI’ Season 7 Finale Promo: Who’s Betrayed the Bureau? (VIDEO)

The FBI team is going to be operating quite a bit differently in the Season 7 finale, airing on Tuesday, May 20, at 8/7c on CBS. As the promo shows, they may very well be going up against some of their own.

In “A New Day,” after Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) narrowly escapes a calculated assault on a secret FBI office, the team discovers a rogue terrorist group has infiltrated the FBI. Unsure of who to trust, the team must work in the shadows to unmask the culprits threatening the sanctity of the New York field office. The promo that aired after the penultimate episode of the season offers a bit more information.

The video shows there’s an attack planned at 26 Fed, and there are operatives inside the FBI. Jubal is involved in some sort of incident at a convenience store — and he shoves someone wearing an FBI jacket through the glass door?!

Plus, Maggie (Missy Peregrym) says they’ve all been relieved of their duties, Jubal insists he’d never betray the bureau, OA (Zeeko Zaki) and Scola (John Boyd) take a look at body bags on the street, and Isobel (Alana De La Garza) — who has clearly been involved in something, given that cut on her forehead — tells someone, “You are a traitor to this office and to our country.” Watch the preview above.

“We’re kind of calling it our little Fast and Furious episode where we have to find a new location, a new place, and kind of work off the grid and solve a crime. It’s really fun that we kind of get to do these new things in our show now with our new writers. Hopefully, the audience buys it, loves it, and wants to see more of it,” Zeeko Zaki told TV Insider of the finale.

He also warned, “It is a life-or-death cliffhanger.”
