‘FBI: International’: Jesse Lee Soffer Debuts as New Boss in Season 4 Premiere Photos
The Fly Team is getting a new boss when FBI: International Season 4 begins—and the rest of the agents will be introduced to him in the middle of a case.
The October 15 premiere, “A Leader, Not a Tourist,” will bring in Chicago P.D. alum Jesse Lee Soffer as Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell. The Fly Team will meet him when his partner is shot in Los Angeles and the suspects flee to Budapest, sending Mitchell overseas. He’ll be working with Vo (Vinessa Vidotto), Raines (Carter Redwood), Smitty (Eva-Jane Willis), and Tate (Christina Wolfe). Check out photos of Wes and the team below.
Wes is coming in following the departure of Luke Kleintank‘s Scott Forrester. Kleintank’s last episode came near the end of Season 3, and it was in the finale that Forrester was officially written out. His mother’s name was on an intake form at a Russian prison, and she traded identities with an American citizen and former military medic (Teri Polo) who had been caught up in the war in Ukraine and arrested by Russia. Forrester could only get one of them out and he knew that his team would follow the clues and get Tess.
At the end of the finale, the team got a hit on Forrester’s location—30 miles west of the Bering Strait, possibly going to Alaska—but the bureau’s liaison to the NSA, Brian Lange (Colin Donnell) told them to wipe it and leave him and Angela be. (Even before they knew his location, Forrester’s security had already been revoked, and he didn’t have a future at the FBI.)
