‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 2 Trailer: ‘Gilead Is Within You’ (VIDEO)
“Is this what freedom looks like?” Offred/June (Elisabeth Moss) asks herself in the first full-length The Handmaid’s Tale trailer.
The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series returns for Season 2 on April 25, and the new episodes promise dark and disturbing times for Offred and the rest of the women fighting for freedom in Gilead.
The second season is “shaped by Offred’s pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead.” In the full length trailer, Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) seems to have a favorite saying: “Gilead is within you.”
Now, Offred and the other main characters must fight against their oppressive culture—or succumb to—its dark truth.
