‘The Middle’ Is Headed for Greener Pastures in Season 7

Eastward, ho! The Hecks are headed for greener pastures on The Middle this season when daughter Sue (Eden Sher) leaves to join brother Axl (Charlie McDermott) as a college student at East Indiana State. And Mom Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Dad Mike (Neil Flynn) are one step closer to being empty nesters. In fact, they may have already skipped the last step—when the show returns, it seems they’ve given up parenting even more than before when it comes to son Brick (Atticus Shaffer).
