Catastrophe (Friday, June 19, Amazon Prime)

Fans of comedian Rob Delaney’s wildly popular Twitter account—he boasts 1.17 million followers—will be pleased to hear his boundary-pushing voice is fully intact on his new show premiering today on Amazon Prime.

Catastrophe, a comedy series that’s already a success in the U.K., follows the romance of an American man (Delaney) and an Irish woman (Pulling star Sharon Horgan) who meet while he’s on a business trip in London. The two hit it off in a bar and end up spending the night together. And the next. After a passionately deviant week, he heads back to the States. Flash-forward 32 days, and she’s calling to let him know she’s pregnant. Thus begins a hilarious examination of courtship as the pair work backwards from baby to love.
