Diane Lockhart and Maia Rindell will fight The Good Fight for another season. Season 2 of The Good Wife spinoff, which airs on CBS All Access, CBS’ digital subscription service, will bow in early 2018.

“We’re only a few episodes into the first season and the reaction from CBS All Access subscribers and critics alike has been phenomenal,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive, in today’s network announcement. “This series and its characters are just beginning and we can’t wait to see where Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the amazing cast take The Good Fight next.”

If you have yet to tune in (and you should), The Good Fight tale launches a year after the events of The Good Wife’s controversial series ended—with a wallop-packing premise. Lockhart & Lee’s Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) has been ejected from the firm courtesy of a financial scandal that also wiped out her bank account and sullied the rep of her ambitious protege Maia Rindell (Game of Thrones‘ Rose Leslie). Down, but not out, the pair sign on with Wife import Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at a high-profile Chicago law firm.
