Saturday Night Live UK took aim at Meghan Markle‘s dad, Thomas Markle, and the Glee reboot during its “Weekend Update” segment.

On Saturday, October 24 — amid the U.S. Saturday Night Live‘s two-week hiatus — Ania Magliano and Paddy Young aimed ruthless barbs at the Duchess of Sussex and the revival of Ryan Murphy‘s musical series.

“In royal news, it’s been a big 24 hours for Meghan Markle, whose dad has been accused of being an alleged pedophile, in another pathetic attempt to win over the British public,” Young said with a straight face. “In 2025, Thomas Markle moved to the Philippines in a sure sign of his innocence.”

Magliano added, “If the allegations about Meghan Markle’s father are true and he is a pedophile, there is a genuine chance Meghan could be considered royal.”

Meanwhile, Magliano took a jab at the recently announced Glee reboot. Disney+ and Hulu revealed the news this past week. Lea Michele, Heather Morris, and Chord Overstreet are all reportedly in talks to return.

“This week, it was announced that the musical comedy Glee will be rebooted on Disney+,” Magliano said. “The original series was famously struck by repeated tragedies, including multiple cast deaths, and also being written, produced, and broadcast.”

The original Glee starred Michele as Rachel Berry, Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester, Matthew Morrison as Will Schuester, Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel, Kevin McHale as Artie Abrams, Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez, Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina Cohen-Chang, Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones, Mark Salling as Noah “Puck” Puckerman, Morris as Brittany Pierce, Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson, Harry Shum Jr. as Mike Chang, Overstreet as Sam Evans, and Darren Criss as Blaine Anderson, among others. It aired for six seasons from 2009 to 2015.
