Anika Rashaun, a reality personality who starred in The Real World Seattle: Bad Blood in 2016 and The Challenge: Invasion of the Champions in 2017, has died at age 34.

Rashaun died on October 1, according to a Facebook post from friend Cyndi Rich, more than a year after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, per a Substack blog post by friend Tiara Ramos.

“Anika lived her years fully with a stacked calendar, juggling all her dreams, invites from friends, and always showing up,” Rich wrote. “Anika was meeting everyone she could, traveling (but also living) across the world, taking on jobs (often multiple at once), and never settling for anything less than she deserved.”

Ramos wrote, “She was always so unapologetically herself, so real in her stances, her convictions, her beliefs. Her ability to get what she wanted, to talk you into things, to convince you, was one of a kind. The way she showed up for her friends, fiercely loyal and loving to the end, was on a whole different level.”

Rashaun’s Real World and Challenge costar Theo King-Bradley also eulogized her on social media. “I’ve been doing everything else to keep my mind off the fact that you’re not here,” he wrote to her in an Instagram update. “I’ve genuinely been sad as hell since hearing you passed. I’m sad I didn’t get to see you one last time. But the last time and conversation we had with each other I can cherish and play it back in my mind to smile.”

In her Instagram bio, Rashaun said she was a dating coach and matchmaker who was training to become a licensed marriage and family therapist. She married her partner, Kyle Rehn, on Valentine’s Day this year, saying on Instagram that the wedding day was “literally a dream filled with the best moments.”
