‘Newlyweds’: Who Is Who in NBC’s New Rom-Com?
Romance and laughs abound in NBC‘s new comedy Newlyweds, which is led by real-life married couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly.
Yet as their characters fall in love onscreen, it brings a wide network of people in their lives together, forming a blended family you have to see to believe. Téa Leoni as Jeanie
Jeanie is described as an eccentric and free-spirited woman who also happens to be a middle school teacher. She finds a deep and sudden connection with James that sets a new chapter of their lives in motion.
Tim Daly as James
James is a reserved professor of philosophy who, despite being rather different from his new wife, Jeanie, is just as committed to their whirlwind romance as she is.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Claudia
Claudia is James’s ex-wife who remains a constant presence in his life, revisiting the home they formerly shared together often enough for her to cross paths with the new lady in his life.
Emma Meisel as Poppy
Poppy is Jeanie’s daughter who shows concern for her mother’s predicament as she worries that the sudden marriage to James could be riskier than the reward.
Ignacio Diaz-Silverio as Lolo
Lolo is Jeanie’s son, who was also her former student before she adopted him. Lolo’s laid-back attitude is a perfect counterpoint to sister Poppy’s more hands-on approach to their mother’s life.
Bill O'Neill as Arvid
Arvid is James’s teaching assistant who finds himself wrapped up in their day-to-day lives and delivering some peak physical comedy moments.

I always liked the three main actors. I didn't know much about Tea Leoni until Madame Secretary, but I did like her (and Tim Daly) in that. And who doesn't love Jamie Lee Curtis??
