Dylan Dreyer is looking to Today fans to help with her fun off-screen project.
Back in March, the meteorologist revealed she was releasing her very own podcast, titled The Parent Chat. “I’ve learned a lot in my years as a parent, mostly that I don’t have it all figured out yet. And I’m not the only one,” she states in the podcast’s trailer. “Each week, I sit down with someone new for honest conversations and real-world advice about parenting.”
The podcast launched on April 2. The show’s first batch of episodes featured candid conversations about parenthood with experts and celebrity guests, such as Ashley Graham, Erin Andrews, Amanda Hirsch, Tig Notaro, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Brian Baumgartner, and Nick Viall.
The Parent Chat has not released a new episode since July. In a Monday, September 14, post shared on Today‘s official Instagram page, Dreyer revealed that she is currently filming the podcast’s second season.
“Hi, everybody. Dylan Dreyer here, and we’ve got the next season of The Parent Chat coming out soon. But I need your help,” she told fans. “I want to know your questions. What do you want to talk about? Different topics, specific things, birthday parties, Halloween. Whatever it is, send in your questions, and we’ll answer them throughout the season.”

The post’s caption encouraged Today fans to drop their parenting questions in the comments section. Fans flooded the comments with their suggestions, including one user who wrote, “I’d love to talk to you about neurodiversity and how sensory processing impacts learning and behavior! So many after school behaviors and bedtime behaviors can be related to sensory processing.”
Another said, “How parenthood affects adult friendships. Understanding your parenting style: what research says about its impact on child development and how to navigate different parenting styles between partners.” Someone else asked, “When is best to let kids have a cell phone?”
A different person requested, “I’d love to talk about the mental load imbalance going into the holidays and how parents can start balancing NOW to avoid one party (ahem, mom) carrying the entire holiday on their backs.” A separate commenter wrote, “As an elementary teacher, I would love to see you do a chat about how to facilitate a great relationship with classroom teachers in order to do what’s best for your child.”
Dreyer is a mother of three, sharing her sons Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty with her estranged husband, Brian Fichera. In July 2025, Dreyer revealed on Instagram that the pair had quietly separated a few months earlier. She officially filed for divorce in March.
Dreyer has opened up about motherhood on Today and on her podcast, including talking about her experiences with infertility and miscarriages, motherhood ups and downs, and sweet moments with her sons.
