What To Know

  • Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, remains missing eight months after her abduction from her Tucson, Arizona home.

  • Despite released photos of a masked suspect and a $1 million reward, no suspect has been officially named in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing eight months after she was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home — and a man who was previously questioned in the case was just arrested.

Luke Daley was allegedly booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on charges related to weapons and drugs, according to a report. An inmate search on the center’s website does yield a result for Luke Anthony Daley, 37. TV Insider reached out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the Pima County Adult Detention Center for comment.

Nancy, 84, was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on the evening of January 31. Since then, investigators have released photos of a masked suspect on her front porch (many have deemed him “Porch Guy”) and even published alleged ransom notes.

On February 13, about two weeks after Nancy’s disappearance, investigators detained and questioned Daley after a SWAT raid on his home in Tucson. His mother, 77, with whom he lives, was also questioned. Ultimately, they were both released without being charged.

Daley spoke out about the incident during an interview with True Crime Arizona in early March, speculating that social media comments linking him to “Porch Guy” were to blame.

“It’s not me. I don’t see the resemblance of it looking like me. Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case,” Daley insisted. “Someone says something, and then they just go off of it based on no evidence, no truth.”

As of writing, no suspect has been named in the case, despite Savannah offering $1 million in addition to other reward money.
