Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, is still missing following her February 1 abduction in Tucson, Arizona. As the investigation into her disappearance continues, those following the case might find themselves struggling to remember the major players. Let’s take a closer look at who’s who in Nancy’s case.
Savannah Guthrie
Savannah is a host of NBC’s morning show Today. In 2011, she joined as a co-host of the third hour; she became a co-anchor of the entire morning broadcast just over a year later in 2012. The journalist is married to Michael Feldman, with whom she shares two children: a daughter named Vale and a son named Charlie.

Nancy Guthrie
Nancy was a longtime Tucson resident and the mother of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie. She and her late husband, Charles Guthrie (who died in 1988), also welcomed a son, Camron, and a daughter, Annie.

Camron Guthrie
Camron is Savannah’s older brother who lives in Vermont. He is a retired F-16 fighter pilot who served in the U.S. military for more than 20 years.

Annie Guthrie & Tommaso Cioni
Annie Guthrie is Savannah’s older sister who also lives in Tucson; she is married to Tommaso Cioni, and they share a son. Early on in the investigation, Ashleigh Banfield reported during her Drop Dead Podcast that Tommaso was a “prime suspect” in Nancy’s disappearance. However, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos ultimately cleared all members of the Guthrie family.
“To be clear…the Guthrie family — to include all siblings as spouses — has been cleared as possible suspects in this case,” Nanos said in a statement in February. “The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case.”
He continued, “To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple…please, I’m begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism.”

Chris Nanos
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is the lead investigator in Nancy’s case. Despite public scrutiny over his handling of the investigation and the threat of a recall as sheriff, he remains the figure in charge.

Kash Patel
FBI Director Kash Patel has assisted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Nancy’s case. In fact, his bureau was credited with working with Google to obtain video footage and still images of a masked individual on Nancy’s front porch, now referred to as “Porch Guy.”

“Porch Guy”
“Porch Guy” is a masked man who was spotted on Nancy’s front porch by a doorbell camera on the night she went missing. Despite the FBI releasing clips and photos of the alleged suspect, his identity has not been revealed.

Carlos Palazuelos
Carlos Palazuelos, 36, is a delivery driver from Tucson who was detained and questioned by investigators about Nancy’s disappearance in February.
Daniel Maddox
Daniel Maddox, 37, and his mother were also detained by SWAT and law enforcement during a search warrant raid in Tucson.
