Will HGTV’s ‘Castle Impossible’ Return for Season 3? What We Know So Far
Another season of Castle Impossible is officially in the books, but there’s still more work for Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira to complete.
The HGTV series follows the couple as they give new life to a 500-year-old chateau outside of Paris, France, that Reckert inherited from her grandfather. While all home projects come with their challenges, Reckert and Figueira face many unique road bumps throughout the renovation process, from crumbling infrastructure to mold and fungus infestations to water leaks and more.
The series debuted back in April 2025 and returned for its sophomore season on May 26. The show was one of several HGTV shows returning with new episodes this year, including Home Town, Ugliest House in America, Renovation Aloha, Rock the Block, Zillow Gone Wild, Battle on the Beach, Love It or List It, and Renovation Resort Showdown.

Has Castle Impossible been renewed for Season 3?
The series has not been officially renewed by HGTV for Season 3. Fans may have to wait a bit for confirmation of the show’s return, as the network previously took several months to announce that the series was renewed for Season 2. (Season 1 wrapped in June 2025, and Season 2 was announced that December.)
HGTV subtly hinted that the show will be back for Season 3 in a July 16 Instagram post. “My only request for next season is that Ian does all his interviews with Caillou. #CastleImpossible,” the network captioned adorable photos of Figueira and the couple’s cast from Season 2.

What have fans said about Castle Impossible Season 3?
Fans have shared their Season 3 hopes via social media. “[HGTV] this is the best show you have in your lineup. Don’t mess it up! History. Craftsmanship. Design. Cost knowledge. Beautiful. Loving couple. Love this!” one fan commented underneath a clip from the show on HGTV’s Instagram. Another added, “Best show on HGTV!!! Hands down!”
Referring to Reckert and Figueira expecting their first child together, someone else said, “We need a next season to watch little Fig grow. Love seeing this family grow with their amazing chateau.” A different person posted, “This is the best show on HGTV; love it and hope it has another season if you all are up for it.” A separate commenter stated, “The best show on HGTV! Need a new season and a lot more episodes!”

What happened during Season 2 of Castle Impossible?
Season 2 saw Reckert and Figueira tackle several important spaces in the chateau, including the dove tower, the library, the tea salon, the tavern, the powder rooms, and the gatehouse for Reckert’s grandmother to live in.
In addition to the renovations, Season 2 also featured the announcement that Reckert and Figueira were expecting their first child together. The couple celebrated the end of the season by revealing the baby’s sex, lighting up the chateau in blue for their baby boy.

Castle Impossible is the best show on HGTV right now. Its heartwarming, interesting, and just plain fun to watch. Season 3 would be even better, because we would, most likely, be introduced to the youngest new member of the show. HGTV would do well to consider dropping some of the uninteresting programs such as the over abundance of beach front and and lake front shows that are nauseating.

I’ve known this family for over 58 years, one of Ian‘s aunts has been my best friend. I even attended her wedding reception 56 years ago Ian‘s mom is the most lovable woman you would ever want to meet. I knew she was excited about another grandbaby. She’s also excited about visiting… I hope they keep the series going. You can watch other episodes on YouTube, but I love the weekly series. Keep it going HGTV. I also know how excited his grandma is about a new baby and about the show..

I really enjoy watching your show, I look forward to it every week and can't wait to see the next season PLEASE bring them back! one of the best shows out there in my opinion to watch. I give you two a lot of credit for all the extremely hard work that you're doing to preserve not only your childhood wonderful memories, but also the history and the future. I think it would be really great if you could turn part of the castle or a building on the grounds into a place where people could come and stay like a small hotel, resort or B&B? nothing too big, like maybe 20 rooms, that way there would be room for wedding guests to stay, or reunions, if you do that sort of thing over there. Anyway, I wish you all the best, and many blessings~

I love the Strawbridges so to see Daphne and Ian walking their footsteps, so to speak, and have them visit, was a total kick. Give me renos and give me France, and I'm in. They are such a sweet couple and their kids are going to grow up in awesome circumstances.

This is by far the best program on HGTV. It is so genuine. Daphne's connection to the chateau with the pictures of her as a child at the chateau convinced me that this was the "real thing". And the renovation of the gate house for her grandmother was heart warming. And doing so much of the work themselves is really amazing. Please bring it back for season 3!

Definitely, THE best "Home" improvement show that I have ever seen, and I watch many! Besides the lure of the Chateau, the relationship between these two is extraordinary. Sometimes, during the reveal, it will bring me to tears. It is all so endearing.

I would love to see them build a romantic tree house out by the bridges they found and finished with beautiful gardens. The tree house with a clear roof allowing for a newly married couple their first night under the stars in a large gorgeous tree house.
You might have to provide a golf cart for the couple, but just imagine how romantic and you kicked it up a notch from competing chateaus.

Love, Love Love this show. Living in the states, it’s so exciting to get to view this stately chateau and hear the history of it as Daphne tells it. Not to mention seeing what she and Ian are able to imagine and renovate the rooms in it.

Love this show! Please renew a season 3. I think its the best show on HGTV.
A beautiful couple and the love for her father, her grandfather and Granny is so authentic. When you see her pictures and hear her memories as a child visiting there and all the history of the chateau, the whole story just comes together.

I love this show & I hope to see a 3rd Season, yet I’d understand if there would be a break since “a new character” has made his appearance (Congratulations!!). ☺️ They grow fast, so enjoy!
If a 3rd Season is agreed upon, I think Tony should buy a piece of the land & they build his new home together, instead of him building elsewhere, as he’s become your mentor & family. In addition, the remaining 3rd FL, remaining dungeon, and the everyday upkeep would surely keep ya’ll busy. Other than being new parents & adjusting to that life of course!
