‘Castle Impossible’ Stars Daphne Reckert & Ian Figueira Welcome First Baby

Congratulations are in order for Castle Impossible stars Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira (better known as the Figs), who recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Adrian.

The couple shared the happy news on their official Castle Impossible Instagram page, along with a carousel of photos of the new addition to the family. “Meet Adrian Fig,” the caption read. “Love has a whole new meaning to us now. We are SMITTEN.”

It continued, “We feel so loved and supported by everyone in this incredible life experience! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. We are so blessed to have him happy and healthy in our arms.”

The statement ended with a joke, asking, “The real question is, do they make baby-sized power tools? Because we’ve got more work to do in the chateau!”

Daphne and Ian were former high school sweethearts who reconnected in 2015 and began dating long-distance. As they were planning to move in together, Daphne found out her grandfather was in poor health; he passed away in November 2020 and left behind a 500-year-old French chateau. The pair have spent the past few years restoring the castle, which they’ve documented on social media and on their HGTV series.

The HGTV stars also showed off baby Adrian in their latest YouTube channel video. Daphne is seen carrying her son in her arms and also pushing him in a stroller outside the chateau.

Fans flooded the comments with congratulations, with one Instagram commenter writing, “Oh!!! The baby is here!! What a joy!! Congratulations!! Sending hugs and best wishes thru the universe!”

Daphne and Ian first announced they were expecting a baby on the June 2 episode of their show. They broke the news to Daphne’s grandmother, who moved in with the couple during the second season. “I absolutely love that our little chateau family is growing,” Daphne said in the episode. “It’ll be really nice having the three generations living together.”
