‘Severance’ Star Tramell Tillman Shares Mr. Milchick’s Office Etiquette Tips (VIDEO)

Severance‘s second season may be over on Apple TV+, but star Tramell Tillman is still reaping the rewards following his exciting Emmy win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2025 ceremony.

Tillman’s captivating performance as Lumon’s severed floor manager, Seth Milchick, was certainly a standout on TV this year, due in part to his strict office policies and perfectly calculated responses in the workplace —”Devour feculence” continues to ring in our minds as one of the greatest onscreen insults.

But where does Tillman stand on workplace etiquette? TV Insider asked the star to weigh in when we caught up with him earlier this year, and the answers might surprise you.

Among some of the questions Tillman answered are what’s the most inoffensive thing to heat up in the office microwave, what is the appropriate amount of time for fraternization, and what’s the proper amount of toppings for a waffle party waffle.

“I would say something like trail mix, like maybe roasted peanuts, provided there’s no one with a peanut allergy,” Tillman said in regard to heating up food in the microwave. But after he stated this, he considered the matter further, and he settled on tea. “You can heat up tea.”

When it comes to fraternization, Tillman stated “seven minutes” is the appropriate amount of time, before he added with a laugh, “No, I just made that up.”

“I don’t know… I think it’s good to be able to connect with your colleagues, to have moments around the water cooler,” he added. “That was always really fun for me when I was in corporate America. You start the day, you have a little chat, maybe about 10 minutes or so… I think probably 10 minutes is good.”

See what else Tillman had to say about office etiquette in the full video above, and stay tuned for his return as Mr. Milchick in Severance‘s upcoming third season.
