Get First Look at ‘Baywatch’ Reboot With Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell & More
In September, Fox announced a Baywatch reboot featuring a 12-episode order for the 2026-2027 season — and now we are getting a first look at photos of the star-studded cast suited up as lifeguards!
The upcoming series is a reimagining of the original ’90s hit, which aired for 11 seasons from 1989 to 2001. It follows Hobie Buchannon (Stephen Amell, originally played by Jeremy Jackson) as he takes on the role of Baywatch captain after his legendary father, Mitch Buchannon (originally played by David Hasselhoff). He’s joined by a new generation of lifeguards keeping watch over the Los Angeles coastline, including Jessica Belkin, who will portray Hobie’s daughter, Charlie Vale.
When the new Baywatch cast was announced, many were shocked to see social media stars like Livvy Dunne and Brooks Nader, who are best known for their massive Instagram followings.
In addition to the blond bombshells, the reboot features Yellowstone‘s Hassie Harrison, Pretty Little Liars fave Shay Mitchell, and Sidelined star and TikTokker Noah Beck. Original Baywatch star David Chokachi is also returning as Cody Madison.

Fans shared mixed reactions to seeing the reboot cast in their iconic swimsuits for the first time. One person writes, “Hollywood ran out of ideas and said, ‘Just put influencers in red swimsuits.'” Someone else speculates, “I really can’t stress how bad this script must be to cast so many influencers.”
However, others were excited about the new iteration of Baywatch. One X user wrote, “The iconic red suits are back. Can’t wait to see this cast in action.”
Another shared, “Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne, Noah Beck… Venice Beach just turned into a Baywatch audition reel. Summer vibes already hitting.”
Yet another declared, “We are so back.”

Bring on the program already!! Talking about it and doing it is apparently 2 different things. However I do enjoy watching Stephen Amell and to view him in the red trunks is a major plus. Let's get this show started already!

This would only work if you cast Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi types, but I’m sure they didn’t have the budget for that-hence casting the influencers lol

This would work if it were on Peacock or something like that. Networks are dead when it comes to this entertainment. Young people might watch this but it must be a streaming show.
