Make way for a new campaign season as Ben Platt's Payton Hobart returns in Netflix's The Politician.

Season 2 of the Ryan Murphy series arrives Friday, June 19, giving fans plenty to look forward to in the era of quarantine binging. Along with releasing a slew of first look photos featuring the returning star-studded cast, Netflix also unveiled the key art highlighting Payton's latest venture — running for Senate.

Season 2 will focus on Payton's efforts to unseat Dede Standish (Judith Light) in the New York State Senate race. As a longtime incumbent and greatly admired Senate Majority Leader with a no-nonsense Chief of Staff, Hadassah Gold (Bette Midler), her re-election is expected to be a breeze, but Payton's ambitions disrupt everything.

Along the way, Payton will have to decide how to become the politician he aspires to be — and whether that must include exposing secrets, lies, and a throuple. As for Payton's mother Georgina Hobart (Gwyneth Paltrow), she makes a big decision that could threaten to upstage everything he's hoping to accomplish.
