Netflix is going big and bold with its upcoming series Messiah, with first look photos and a full-length trailer for the title being released Wednesday, January 1.

The action follows Eva Geller (Michelle Monaghan), a CIA officer who learns about a mysterious man (Mehdi Dehbi) who has been gaining the attention of people around the world. As he builds a solid group of followers and performs what they claim to be miracles, Eva will investigate his origins. Is he a spiritual being or a con man? These are the questions Eva will set out to answer.

From the long-awaited second season of 'You' to Henry Cavill's 'The Witcher' and 'Fuller House's swan song.

The show's tagline is "Will he convert you?" The show sets a clear tone with various interwoven stories playing throughout. Among the different perspectives explored are an Israeli intelligence officer (Tomer Sisley), a Texas preacher (John Ortiz) and his daughter (Stefania LaVie Owen), a Palestinian refugee (Sayyid El Alami), and a journalist (Jane Adams).

Among the other series stars are Melinda Page Hamilton, Wil Traval, Fares Landoulsi, Dermot Mulroney and Beau Bridges. The show was created by Michael Petroni, directed by James McTeigue and Kate Woods, and Petroni and McTeigue executive produce alongside Andrew Deane, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.
