Liv on brains

There are few things on television as entertaining as watching Liv take on a different persona each week with every brain she consumes for a case. And it’s not just Liv we enjoy watching. It’s how the others around her, namely Peyton (Aly Michalka), Ravi (Rahul Kohli), Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) and Major (Robert Buckley), react to and deal with her on each brain.

Blaine’s Blaine-ness

Need we say more? We can never trust the guy (but we don’t expect to be able to). And that doesn’t mean we don’t thoroughly enjoy it every time he appears onscreen. And, of course, we have to include Blaine’s (David Anders) singing here.

Ravi on brains

This is a newer development, but we’ve so enjoyed seeing Ravi joining Liv in the brain madness when it’s that time of the month for him.

Liv and Major’s on-again, off-again romance

When the series began, the two were kept apart because she was a zombie and he wasn’t. They’ve come a long way since then. While it doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy Liv’s other boyfriends (RIP), we’re never surprised when the series returns to their relationship. The kiss they shared in the penultimate episode is an example of that.

Peyton and Ravi’s relationship

It hasn’t been easy, but Peyton and Ravi are finally not only in a good place, but also all but engaged after he overheard her talking to Liv. They’ve had their struggles, but we’ve enjoyed watching them find their way back to each other, despite all the craziness surrounding them.

Liv and Clive solving cases together

It’s why we completely understood Clive’s emotional goodbye to Liv and Ravi and then were so happy to see him joining them on their heist in Season 5, Episode 12. One of the best things iZombie did was bring Clive in on the zombie secret before the world found out because it’s strengthened his and Liv’s bond and made their partnership that much more entertaining.

Liv and Ravi’s friendship

It started with the two of them, and we’re just glad the series hasn’t forgotten about their friendship as their inner circle has grown. There’s nothing quite like the two of them together, whether in the morgue, out investigating, or outside of work.

iZombie is coming to an end after five seasons, and there’s so much to love about this dramedy that it’s going to be quite difficult to say goodbye.

The series started out following Liv (Rose McIver) as she adjusted to live as a zombie, and since then, it has evolved into so much more. Her inner circle has grown. The world has changed. She hasn’t had the best of luck with romance.

But through it all, the CW show has remained one of the most entertaining and unique shows on television. Click through the gallery above to see what we’re going to miss the most about this dramedy.
