In a cringeworthy turn of events, Clare Crawley, on Season 16 of The Bachelorette, seemingly found her soulmate in contestant Dale Moss. At the encouragement of host Chris Harrison, the couple rushed into an engagement. Five months later and they’ve split for good amid cheating allegations. Dale confirmed the breakup to the press — apparently without Clare’s knowledge. Clare posted on Instagram: “The truth is I am crushed. This was not what I expected or hoped for and am still trying to process this.”
Colton Underwood
Season 23
Colton Underwood fell for dark horse contestant Cassie Randolph, but not without a few hiccups. Cassie first left the series due to cold feet, then returned to get the final rose…and not a proposal. Colton instead asked her to date him after the show for a “normal” love story. Later he explained that he wanted to do the opposite of what other Bachelors did to increase the “odds” of him and Cassie making it in the real world. Former NASCAR driver Arie Luyendyk, Jr., spent his love life in the fast lane. The Season 22 Bachelor proposed to Becca Kufrin, but after living with her for a few weeks, decided he couldn’t stop thinking about runner-up Lauren Burnham. Becca later became the Bachelorette, but ended her engagement to Garrett Yrigyen following his questionable social media presence.
Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft
Talk about awkward! Jason Mesnick proposed to Season 13 winner Melissa Rycroft, and six weeks following the finale, dumped her on live TV during the After the Final Rose special. Jason claimed he made the wrong choice in not selecting runner-up Molly Malaney. While Melissa did not take the on-camera drama lightly, Jason and Molly tied the knot during a special televised wedding ceremony.
