DC Universe’s Doom Patrol cast is really starting to shape up as the live-action series just cast Brendan Fraser.

Fraser has been added to the patrol as Robotman, aka Cliff Steele, Deadline reports. Steele is race car driver that was left to die after a massive car accident. Once his body was no longer inhabitable, Dr. Niles Caulder transferred his brain to the robotic body of Robotman.

Fraser will provide the voice for Robotman, and will appear on-screen in flashback sequences as Cliff Steele. Actor Riley Shanahan will play the physical role of Robotman, donning the actual suit in scenes as the character.

For those not familiar with Doom Patrol, the new streaming network’s series follows DC’s “strangest outcasts”: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero). After being created by Dr. Caulder, these outcasts are then recruited by Cyborg (Jovian Wade) to use their powers for the greater good.

Executive produced by Jeremy Carver and Greg Berlanti, Doom Patrol will feature yet another recent TV role for Fraser, who of late has appeared on Showtime’s The Affair, Audience Network’s Condor, and FX’s Trust.
