Who Should Guest Star on ‘Empire’? Taraji and Terrence’s Surprising Picks (VIDEO)

If you aren’t watching Empire, the hit Fox drama about a music industry family, you’re missing out, but the show’s main leads, Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard, can convince you otherwise.

“It’s fashion, music, high drama; it’s like soap opera but based in reality. So, I guess it’s kind of something for everybody,” says Henson, who plays Empire‘s matriarch, Cookie Lyon. And for those invested in the show, Terrance Howard shares where the patriarch’s, Lucious, power comes from: his sheer will to stay alive. “His love for his family…and desire to have his legacy carry on, preferably through a son/grandson.”

The duo also shared what guest stars they’d love to see visit the Lyon’s Den. “For me, a legend. I would love Meryl Streep,” revealed Henson. As for Howard, his more lighthearted choice included “Bubbles. Yeah, Michael’s Monkey” (as in Michael Jackson’s monkey).
