Fox Renews ‘Bob’s Burgers’ For Two More Seasons

Hot off the grill: Bob’s Burgers will continue for a seventh and eighth season.

Fox announced the pickup Wednesday, keeping the animated comedy on the network through at least the 2017-2018 TV season. Bob’s recently returned for its sixth season.

“Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America’s most beloved TV families, and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons,” says Fox Entertainment president David Madden, who calls the show “hilarious, warm, smart, inventive–critics love it, and so do fans.”

Bob’s Burgers recently debuted in syndication, and according to Twentieth Television, it is this fall’s No. 1 new syndicated program among adults 18-49.

Loren Bouchard created Bob’s Burgers and executive produces with Jim Dauterive. The show, which will hit its 100th episode this season, won the Emmy in 2014 for outstanding animated program.

H. Jon Benjamin stars as Bob Belcher; other voice actors include John Roberts (Linda), Kristen Schaal (Louise), Eugene Mirman (Gene), Dan Mintz (Tina) and Andy Kindler (Mort).

The next episode of Bob’s Burgers, “The Land Ship,” airs this Sunday at 7:30/6:30c on Fox. Guest voices this season include Jenny Slate, Billy Eichner, Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, Henry Winkler, Tim Meadows, Keegan-Michael Key and Zach Galifianakis.
