Fall TV Preview 2015Having taken on haunted houses, old-school asylums, fashionista witches and circus-tent carnage, Ryan Murphy’s grisly anthology series is serving up some spooky-ass room service for Season 5, set in an infamous art deco L.A. hotel.

Meat-dress-wearing pop icon Lady Gaga stars as the Countess, the wealthy, vampiric owner of the Hotel Cortez, where an investigation into a serial killer’s latest slaying entwines a cabal of sexually monstrous suspects, celebs, addicts and other broken souls—played by AHS repertory members Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock, among others, with newbies Max Greenfield, Darren Criss and Cheyenne Jackson thrown into the mix.

Hotel marks a return to the what’s-down-the-hallway scares we saw in Season 1’s Murder House. “I think it’s a lot more psychological,” agrees returnee Denis O’Hare, who plays the cross-dressing Liz Taylor, named for the actress his character adores. “This one has [that feeling of] claustrophobia, or your worst nightmares coming true.”

So we should probably expect at least one more meat dress.
