Zoo, “First Blood” (Tuesday, June 30,9/8c,CBS)

CBS’s adaptation of the best-selling dystopian thriller by James Patterson and Michael Ledwige sends a team of animal experts on a mission to find out why lions, tigers and bears and lots of other species have turned homicidal– and how they can be stopped before they chomp their way through humanity. The team of heroes, including safari guide Jackson Oz (Madman’s James Wolk), vet pathologist Mitch Morgan (Revolution’s Billy Burke) and investigative blogger Jamie Campbell (House of Card’s Kristen Connolly), try to fend off claws and fangs as they track creature attacks around the world. You might think twice the next time you call out, “Here, kitty, kitty.”
