They’ve conquered the open road and the Big Apple—or maybe the road and the Apple conquered them…. So where will the Parker-Randalls head next on The Detour? We’ll find out when the show returns for a third season.

TBS has renewed the riotous, often raunchy, comedy created, written and executive-produced by Jason Jones and Samantha Bee ahead of its second season finale.

The show’s first season, based on Jones’ and Bee’s own family vacations, drew comparisons to irreverent family road trip movies like National Lampoon’s Vacation. Season 2, however, saw Nate Parker (Jones), wife Robin (Natalie Zea) and their precocious twins settled—sort of—in New York City.

As to what Season 3 has in store for them, TBS’s senior VP of original programming Thom Hinkle says, “from the early nuggets I’ve gotten from Jason and Sam, Season Three is going to be even more effed up.”

On a show that has featured conquistador-themed restaurants, home birthing parties and Russian child brides, that’s certainly saying something.

Catch the back-to-back Season 2 finale of The Detour Tuesday, April 25, at 10/9c on TBS.
