Season 6 of the hit sitcom Ghosts won’t pick back up with regular episodes until 2027, but there’s good news in the meantime, Woodstone enthusiasts: You can still hang with your favorite spirits in the supersized Halloween special arriving October 29, and a Christmas special on December 10.

Picking up a couple of months after Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) shocking disappearance, Halloween’s two-parter resumes with Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) bringing a haunted antique mirror home. “Halloween is always fun for Ghosts,” says star Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Gilded Age spirit Hetty Woodstone and acknowledges that the show’s mansion setting is “her own very haunted house.” But it seems the new mirror addition will make things even spookier — because someone particularly close to Hetty is trapped inside!

Who is the mysterious spirit? “We finally get to meet Hetty’s mustachioed sister Margaret,” Wisocky shares. Margaret’s (Maria Thayer) arrival “expands the myth,” Wisocky says, and introduces “a new type of ghost lore” to the universe.

Could she provide answers about Pete? We’ll see. And fans can also look forward to more of ghost-seeing Kyle (Ben Feldman), who is settling in as a Season 6 regular with Sam (Rose McIver) working abroad. “The dynamic between Jay and Kyle is really good and has evolved quite a bit,” Wisocky teases of what viewers can expect from the fresh dynamic.

But despite Jay finally getting along with Kyle, that doesn’t mean that life at Woodstone is going to be easy for the newest occupant, as she adds, “The ghosts will put Kyle through his paces.”

Behind the scenes, it’s nothing but good vibes as Wisocky adds, “I love Ben Feldman, and we miss Rose McIver, of course, but we’re so lucky that the writers early on introduced that there’s another freak around that shares her power and that he takes on a much bigger role this year.”

Rest assured though, McIver will be back for her regularly scheduled role as Sam, as her character’s Australian adventure plays out in part to coincide with the birth of her second child.
