Trial & Error wrapped up its freshman season with a surprisingly satisfying conclusion to the case of Larry Henderson (John Lithgow), the bumbling poet accused of murdering his wife. If it returns for a second season, the true crime mockumentary will find defense attorney Josh Segal (Nicholas D’Agosto) and company working an entirely new case.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t lingering questions about Larry Henderson. For instance, what really happened to his first wife, Adelaide, who, like Margaret (Andie MacDowell), fell through a plate glass window decades earlier?

NBC recently released Murder Now, an online exclusive spoofing primetime network docs like Dateline and 48 Hours. Presented as a low-def VHS recording of the original show, Murder Now takes a look at the circumstances surrounding Adelaide’s death in the pitch perfect, overwrought tone of retro newsmagazine shows. All four episodes are now available on NBC.com. Check out the clip below for a preview of the hard-hitting hijinx.
