The Walking Dead fans know that one of the best parts of the show isn’t the show at all, but Chris Hardwick‘s laugh-filled aftershow, Talking Dead.

Today, AMC announced that Hardwick won’t stop talking — or Talking — when Dead and its prequel Fear the Walking Dead are off the air. Talking with Chris Hardwick will premiere Sunday, April 9, at 11/10c — a week after Dead wraps its Season 7. According to the network, each hourlong episode will feature an in-depth conversation between the Nerdist podcaster and a single guest or cast from today’s pop culture landscape. Like Talking DeadTalking with Chris Hardwick will make the most of social media and its live audience.

“Chris Hardwick is just the ultimate fan guide, advocate and conversationalist,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV in today’s announcement. “He took our desire to serve the fans of The Walking Dead with an hour of discussion and analysis following each new episode and turned it into the No. 1 talk show on television, and a model that has been widely emulated but never quite duplicated, because Chris is the key.”

“‘Talking will have the skin of Talking Dead, the soul of the Nerdist podcast and the guts of a Comic Con panel,” said Hardwick. “I have loved learning how to do a talk show these last six years on Talking Dead, but am eager to expand the format into other areas of pop culture.”
