Food Network fans want more of The Kitchen after the cast briefly reunited on the small screen.

The talk show was canceled after 40 seasons in October 2025 and aired its final episode that December. Earlier this year, the cast revealed that they reunited to film a special new episode, which aired on Food Network on Saturday, October 31.

“Hello, and welcome to The Kitchen!” Jeff Mauro exclaimed at the top of the episode, as his co-hosts — Katie Lee Biegel, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Alex Guarnaschelli — cheered in excitement. “We are taking your taste buds on a culinary journey like no other with some of, I promise you, the best international bites. We’re bringing you the world on a plate.”

The episode saw the hosts cook delicious dishes from around the world and featured highlights from a trip Biegel and Zakarian took to Qatar for the Qatar International Food Festival. “We had so much fun,” Biegel said. “Great food from all different countries, and the Qatari food that we had out on our own, as well. I got to try so many great local specialties. I loved it.”

At the end of the episode, Mauro shared his appreciation for the show’s fans, stating, “Thanks for joining us. We love you all very, very much.”

After the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their hopes for a potential revival of The Kitchen. “Can the Food Network please bring back The Kitchen??? Isn’t someone on their programming team following social media and have visibility to how many people loved and miss the show?” one Reddit user posted. In response, another said, “I agree. I feel like they don’t listen to what their fans want, at all. WE WANT THE KITCHEN!!”

In the post’s comments, one user said, “Love the Kitchen. I hope the FN executives listen to this feedback as the competition-themed shows aren’t resonating with some of us. I love the format of The Kitchen and the hosts’ chemistry can’t be beat. They pack so much into each episode. Please bring this great show back.” Another added, “BRING IT BACK!!!! Food Network, don’t you read the room? Everyone loves The Kitchen!!!”

Others pointed out co-host Sunny Anderson‘s absence from the special, with one commenter writing, “Too bad Sunny wasn’t in this episode. She’s such an integral part of this team!” A separate person wrote, “SO TIRED of competition shows. PLEASE bring back The Kitchen. The best Food Network show hands down. Love this cast, missing Sunny, however.”
