‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown Makes Bold Prediction About New Relationship

Janelle Brown‘s new boyfriend, Pete, hasn’t debuted on Sister Wives yet, but the couple is already predicting a bright future together.

In a recent Instagram video shared Wednesday (October 21), Janelle and Pete are seen in a pair of rocking chairs on the porch. “Beautiful fall afternoon. Rockin with my baby. This is forever,” Pete captioned the post.

“Okay, we’re predicting this is us in five years,” Pete tells the camera in the clip itself.

“Oh no. Let’s say 30,” Janelle responds.

Pete replies, “Wait… six years?”

“30,” Janelle answers

“Oh, my God. 30, okay,” Pete agrees while Janelle adds, “In our rocking chairs.”

Janelle was previously married to polygamist Kody Brown, alongside Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown. TLC’s Sister Wives documented the plural marriage, including the breakdown of the relationship over the past few years. Janelle, Meri, and Christine all separated from Kody, leaving Robyn as his only wife.

During their 30-year relationship, Janelle and Kody had six children: Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel, and Savanah. Their son, Garrison, died by suicide in 2024.

Janelle went official with her new beau on Instagram back in August. “Some chapters are meant to unfold quietly before they’re shared,” she captioned a pic of herself hugging Pete. “I wasn’t looking. I certainly wasn’t expecting you. And somehow, you turned out to be exactly what I didn’t know I needed. And it has been pretty wonderful. Everyone please meet Pete.”

A trailer for the currently airing 21st season of Sister Wives teased the start of Janelle and Pete’s relationship. In a clip, Janelle hugs a man and says, “Nice to meet you.” She follows up in a confessional, saying, “His name is Peter, and there are no red flags. Peter is so nice.”

Fans flooded the latest Instagram post with comments, with many sharing their happiness for Janelle.
