‘Sister Wives’: Where Are Kody & Robyn Brown in the Season 21 Premiere?

Sister Wives is entering its 21st season on October 4, but when the show premieres, there will be two familiar faces missing from the fold: Kody Brown and Robyn Brown.

While some viewers may be shocked by their absence in the episode, information about their departure was confirmed a few weeks before the new season. Scroll down for everything we know.

Are Kody and Robyn Brown on Sister Wives Season 21?

No, Kody and Robyn are not part of the show anymore. Their exit from the series was confirmed in a trailer for Season 21, with a title card that read, “After 16 years of filming Sister Wives, Kody & Robyn will not be returning to the show.”

Instead, the show will continue to focus on Kody’s ex wives, Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Janelle Brown.

Why did Kody and Robyn Brown leave Sister Wives?

Neither Kody and Robyn or TLC have publicly revealed an explanation for why the couple left the show. Among fans, the most popular theory is that they were not able to negotiate the contract they wanted with the network, although this is purely speculation.

Others have theorized that Kody and Robyn may be working on a project of their own, or have simply decided to step away from the spotlight to focus on their children.

A statement has circulated online that was allegedly posted and deleted on Kody’s Instagram account. In it, he allegedly wrote, “Times have changed and so has our family and nature of the show. We are no longer interested in the narrative that is being shared and have decided peace cannot be bought. We wish the other 3 women the best of luck and hope they can forge their own paths without using Robyn and I for storyline.”
