‘Big Brother 28’s Haley Thogmartin Shares Her ‘Tough Weeks’ Were Caused by a Heart Procedure

Big Brother‘s Haley Thogmartin’s “tough weeks” in the house were more than fans knew. The Season 28 alum shared that she had a heart procedure before coming into the house, and her condition was acting up during the season.

Throughout her time in the house, Haley shared that she had a “rough few weeks.” Her Houseguests were confused because her allies had kept her safe the first weeks of the game, and then she became Head of Household, whereas other Houseguests were on the Block every week and were being targeted.

After she lost her closest allies, Haley told us that she “felt alone” in the house. About having a tough time, Haley said, “it had nothing to do with the game. It all had to do with just the mental side of it. I really, truly didn’t think how hard it was going to be going in there. Having to feel everyone’s energy, and you also have to try to make all these connections with people, and then you’re at the back of it. You’re like, “I don’t know if this is truly it.” I had some stuff that happened with a couple of the people in the house, and I just took a lot of things personally. And I didn’t see it as just the game. I took it personally a lot harder.”

Now, the pre-juror is opening up about a medical condition that caused her to have a tough time. An X user shared that her fans, who consist of gay men and trans women, “love her so much.”

She replied that she loved them back. Another fan replied, “The gays deadass love you. My fellow gays opened my eyes to you. I just didn’t understand the really bad few weeks you were having.”

To that, Haley said, “Nothing to do with the game at all. I had a heart procedure in December and was having some issues with that in the house. Currently back on a heart monitor now.” She didn’t give any more details on her condition.

Fans reacted and said that the CBS show edited it to make it look like she was suffering from a game point of view. Others said they were surprised they let Haley play because Season 27 Houseguest Mickey Lee died of a heart condition on Christmas Day 2025.

However, Haley shared that she can “laugh about” the rough week jokes from fans.
