George Santos‘ journey on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test came to an end during the October 1 episode. The disgraced politician was already struggling with back pain during Episode 1, but the Directing Staff (DS) urged him to push through it and told him they were going to “trust” him to give it his all on their course.

But by the time the recruits got to the next mission, he decided to throw in the towel. “I can’t do this, Staff,” Santos said. “I can’t put any weight on this leg. My right foot’s going numb. My sciatica is pinching.”

He continued, “I understand what you think, sir. I can’t do it. I’ve reached my physical limit. My body is telling me to stop, and I have to listen to it before I injure myself further.”

Jovon “Q” Quarles told Santos, “There’s no reason you can’t walk your happy ass over there, crawl over to that ladder, and crawl your way back up.” But Santos was done. “I’m sorry,” he said. “I’m going to VW [voluntarily withdraw].”

He then demanded Santos give him his armband. “Waste of space,” he added. “You had a great opportunity. All you did was talk yourself out and gone back to be who you really were. No character, no balls. You are pathetic.”

As Santos left the course, he was in tears and admitted, “I didn’t want to quit.”

Earlier in the episode, LeSean McCoy also withdrew because he didn’t want to go to the bathroom outside. By the end of Episode 2, Ruby Rose VWed, as well, after dealing with both physical and emotional exhaustion.
