We’d like to buy a different puzzle. Apparently, Wheel of Fortune aired the same puzzle twice in one episode, and fans were left scratching their heads.

During a Reddit discussion about the Tuesday, September 22 episode, some fans were confused because the game show aired the prize puzzle twice. “Um, did the show just screw up and play the same puzzle twice?” a fan asked.

“Came here to check as well, this was wild!” another replied.

“I thought I was time traveling for a sec,” a third added.

“What happened to the broadcast?” another wondered. One thread said that it happened in the Detroit, Michigan, area. Some X users said it was messed up in Boston, Massachusetts, and St. Paul, Minnesota.

“Clearly there is something going on at Sony or CBS that is causing these broadcasts to be botched,” another thread said.

“Here in Minnesota too! They didn’t show the Words with Friends puzzle!!” one fan said.

Instead of showing the Crossword puzzle, which allows fans to input a keyword and a chance to win a prize, the prize puzzle, which was “Glinda and Elphaba,” was shown twice. Carmine Lucidi, an Eagle Scout from Long Island, New York, solved it and won a trip to Finland.

For those who missed the Crossword puzzle, it was in the category “The Piano.” With only four letters to guess, Pam Edwards, from Cypress, Texas, solved “Ivory, Key, Ebony, Strings.”

However, some fans said theirs was completely fine, and they saw the whole episode. But WOF fans weren’t the only ones who were left confused this season.

On the Jeopardy! Season 43 premiere, fans were excited to see if returning champion Matthew Riggle would continue his streak. However, when the show came back from commercial, some fans were shown a completely different game.

“Contestants changed? 9/14/26. I’m watching Jeopardy! and the contestants changed after the Jeopardy round. The champion is Jonathan instead of Matt. Did this happen for anyone else?” a Reddit user asked.

Many Detroit users said the same happened to them. The game show corrected their mistake and reaired the episode later that week. Both shows are syndicated and run by Sony Pictures.
