What To Know

The Fire Country Season 5 trailer teases a dramatic family reunion for Manny during a major emergency at Edgewater’s Founders’ Day festival.
The trailer also reveals major personal news for Jake, Natalie Zea’s return as Camille, and much more.

Uh-oh, Manny’s (Kevin Alejandro) not happy when he sees who shows up as part of Three Rock during the emergency that opens up Fire Country Season 5, premiering on Friday, October 9.

The trailer begins with Bode (Max Thieriot) giving a quick recap of who he is: “I’m an ex-con, an addict, but I’m also a firefighter.” He had once been at the inmate fire camp as well — Manny, too, has spent time there, both as its leader and one of its firefighters — but he’s very much settled in at Cal Fire at this point.

But it’s going to be all hands on deck, both Station 42 and Three Rock, when a sinkhole opens at Edgewater’s annual Founders’ Day festival, and that’s when Manny’s family reunion happens. His nephew is among the Three Rock crew, and later, he warns its captain, Eve (Jules Latimer), “This kid is trouble.” But as we’ve learned, she will defend her firefighters, and she argues, “No one’s the worst thing they’ve ever done.” Manny, however, won’t let it go and just tells her, “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

In happier news, after their wedding, Jake (Jordan Calloway) and Violet (Nesta Cooper) seem to learn she’s pregnant, and it’s always good to see some Sheriff Country people cross over … though none of them are smiling. Natalie Zea‘s also back as Camille, the doc who’s also dating Manny, but who’s injured?! And what’s happening to Three Rock near the end of the trailer? Watch it above for much more.

In the Season 5 premiere, titled “Founders’ Day,” CBS teases, “As Edgewater celebrates its annual Founders’ Day festival, a catastrophic sinkhole opens beneath Main Street, trapping residents underground and forcing Station 42 into a high-stakes rescue. Meanwhile, a mysterious former firefighter arrives in Edgewater.” Olivia Thirlby is joining as a new series regular as that firefighter, CJ.
